Design X
Design X was an exhibition put on by a group of my fellow classmates and myself. What was design about? Who is it for? Why should people care? These were all questions we had to keep in mind when we were finding the solution. We came to the conclusion that design is anything and everything. The “X” was the variable. Design X was meant to stand for everything design was, is, and could ever be.

We encouraged people who attended the exhibition to use yarn to voice who they were and how they think. We had descriptive words for the folks to tie the yarn to, and then anchor it to “YOU” which was the center piece of the entire show. A whole network and world of design, this exhibition sought to allow yourself to see where you lie within that web.

The yarn then turned into an entire network of self expression and identity. The end result was an incredible exhibition that included miles of yarn, vinyl lettering, and a lot of sweat, pain, and laughter.
